What started as a Sunday search for some good tacos led to a lunch that was far better than I could've asked for. I'm a fool for trying new foods so once I realized this was a Honduran restaurant I threw the tacos out the window. When I got here I realized I was the only non Hispanic so I knew I was in the right place. I immediately started talking to the waitresses that worked there trying to find out what the best foods were that they had. Which by the way, the ladies that work here are awesome and never let you go without! They started to tell me about the menu and the front is more traditional Hispanic dishes like tacos, tortas, burritos and what not. I'm sure they have their own special twist on those common dishes however I was there to experience some good authentic Honduran dishes, and that I did. I could have easily got several dishes here, and I promise that I will be back to try them, I chose the Pollo con Tajadas. Listen guys, this dish was life changing.. holy smokes it was a flavor mosh pit inside my mouth. I was told that the yellow sauce it comes with is a Honduran sauce and to just throw it all over the food, so I did, and it was great! The dish had a perfect balance of sweetness, heat, acidity and fat to it. The pickled veggies tasted so good against the crispy fried plantain and dipping it all in the sauces just threw it over the top. The chicken was fried excellent as well and blended right on in perfectly. Please everyone hurry here, skip the boring tex mex and come get some flavor in your life!

I frequented La Favorita next door and was devastated when they closed their kitchen. Like, emotionally distraught. They were the only place around that served up amazing tortas and salsa verde. Well, the great news is the crew from La Favorita now runs the kitchen here. The tortas have gotten bigger, but still the same great flavor. Please drop in and find out for yourself.

Recently under new management, in fact, the management that has been producing the tacos in the Latin supermarket in the same center (which have been well-reviewed here). This means that the Honduran dishes are not currently on the menu during the reorganization (as well as Jamaica and tamarindo beverages), however, the staff told me that they would be bringing back some eventually. In their stead, there is more of a typical Tex-mex style menu. That's the bad news.
The good news is that the tacos are all cheap (~$2.70) and can be good. They are, however, very inconsistent. I've had them twice. The first time they were all good, with the notable exception of the chicken, which is dry, over-cooked chicken breast. There is also carne asada, tongue, tripe, pastor, chorizo, and shredded barbacoa. I think all of us agreed (including the server) that the tongue was our favorite though they are all on a similar level. The server doesn't care for tripe so much but I enjoyed that one as well on our first vist, however, our second visit they were completely different--like dry crumbs and not good at all.
Our second visit was a bit later than our first (after 2pm) and this probably has something to do with the fact that all the fillings were dry this time around, not to mention the servings were less generous than the first. Also, they were out of tongue, which had been the highlight of our first visit. All in all, the quality was just mediocre on the second visit.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. While I miss the Honduran dishes for now, the tacos and service alone are enough for a provisional three-star rating. Let's hope they do bring back the Honduran dishes but this a convenient place to grab tacos when I'm staying with my friend. -

While visiting Savannah, we were looking for a latin place to try, we searched on Yelp and found this place.
The restaurant is located on a small shopping center which you might think there's nothing worthwhile to be in there, surrounded by alot of warehouses, we got to the place after a 20 minutes drive.
I believe was the one which had a chef coat came to our table and he got our order since they just had one server and she was busy with another table, he was very kind!
The menu have a nice selection and prices are fair!
I ordered a baleada " a white corn flour pancake cooked on the grill and stuffed with egg, meat, avocado, beans, butter and a crema like sour cream" and for my surprise two cake on the plate, sizes are huge, flavors awesome.
It's worth the ride! -

Great food from good people. The tacos are the best. Highly recommended if you want authentic food.
